There are numerous opportunities for funding and we encourage you to apply for all that opportunities for which you might qualify. You can't win it if you aren't in it!!

NEW! Federal TEACH Grants

Attention students in the following programs:

You are in a TEACH grant eligible major! TEACH grants are $4000 per year (must be confirmed each semester through financial aid) at UF for up to two years at the undergraduate level (for elementary ProTeach students specializing in special education) and $4000 per year for two years at the graduate level. This program is for students who plan to teach in a "high need" category as defined by the federal government. As part of the TEACH grant requirements, the student MUST teach four (4) years in a high need school within the first eight (8) years after completing the degree. Students who receive a TEACH grant must sign a "Service Obligation Form", committing themselves to the four years of teaching in a low income school (as defined by the Federal Government at the time they begin to teach) in order to receive the funds.

If the student defaults on teaching, or decides at some point as a student (after accepting grant funds) he or she does not want to continue in the program, he or she is liable for the entire amount of the grant funds used and must pay interest from the FIRST day he or she received the grant funding.
